VERY SHORT POST: YOU ARE NOT SAFE FROM BIO ATTACKS

           CONGRESSIONAL HEARING FOR BIO WATCH

Inside the pages of the Los Angeles Times, june 17, 2013, is a story about the nationwide system to detect airborne release of anthrax or other biological weapons.  George W. Bush stated that Bio Watch would protect "our people and our homeland."

But, in a recent interview, Tom Ridge, Homeland Security Secretary, stated that "Everyone knew that it was a primitive, labor-intensive, fairly unsophisticated attempt."

Tomorrow, a congressional committee is scheduled to question Bio Watch officials about the program.

"Biowatch has been deployed in more than 30 U.S. Cities,, [what about the hundreds left out?] . . . and at major sports events, including the superbowl and and national political conventions," states the Times.

The article continues, "The system has been beset by false alarms--nearly 150 to date-0-some of which triggered tense deliberations over whether to order evacuations, distribute emergency medicine or shut down public venues.  In each case, authorities decided to disregard Bio Watch" (emphasis added).

Worse, tests reveal that Bio Watch can not be relied upon to detect an actual germ attack!
