THOUGHTS ON BLOOD WILL BE SPILLED FOR SPOILS OF AFRICA

Amazing that the president who was elected on his pledging to end our involvement in unnecessary foreign wars that are not absolutely vital to the safety and security of our own nation and citizens is continuing to find reasons to continue our involvement in the Middle East and is now majorly expanding our presence and military action in Africa.  Our past failures, as well as those of other nations, is obviously no detriment--our hoped for objectives, no matter how unlikely, apparently trump the existing dismal track record.  Is it the natural resources we are after, regardless of the human, financial, and moral cost?  Is it fighting terrorism, at the risk of creating even more terrorists and in spite of the recognition that terrorism is a natural response to autocratic governments that hold overwhelming power in suppressing the needs of the majority, as has been common in the history of these regions? Or is it to continue to employ our military strength and justify the expense of maintaining it that goes to our military-defense establishment?  And who is making these decisions?  Is it really Obama, in spite of his initially expressed convictions, or is some other deeply embedded governmental force calling the shots?

MUCH BLOOD WILL BE SPILLED FOR SPOILS OF AFRICA.
