The inconsistency of many Americans favoring more gun control but having little problem with supporting military spending which equals the rest of the world combined and military bases and activities throughout much of the world does present a telling reason why domestic gun control efforts, no matter how needed, go nowhere. Our government models violent means of resolving conflict, it is natural its citizens will turn to similar means. While one might say the weapons are meant for defense, that is deceiving, the reality is that when available they tend to be used. So it is no accident that America has both the strongest military of any nation, and the most guns in the hands of their civilian population and the weakest laws controlling their use.

GUN CONTROL IN A CULTURE OF DEATH? I DON'T THINK SO.
