Limbaugh: 'Radical leftist professors' radicalized Boston bombers and Obama
After a week of horror following the Boston Marathon bombings, one suspect has been killed and the other captured. While the FBI and the federal government attempt to come to a conclusion about why the alleged bombers did what they did, Rush Limbaughhas decided where he is pointing his finger.
During his radio show this week, conservative radio show host, Rush Limbaugh went on a lengthy rant, giving his explanation for why the alleged Boston bombers became radicalized in the United States.
Rush Limbaugh: Now, see, this is where I am ripe for getting in trouble. Why is it so strange to believe that young kids could be radicalized in America? You got former bombers as professors in New York and Chicago. You have radical leftist professors who think this country's guilty, teaching kids every day about what's wrong with this country, about how unfair this country's been, how unjust, how immoral this country is since its founding. What in the world do we think elite education is in this country? When you have a study of High School textbooks, nine different textbooks, the longest reference to Abraham Lincoln is one paragraph, but all kinds of references to the horrors of slavery and evil Republican presidents, how great Bill Clinton is.How did Obama become what he is? Who taught Obama that America is so wrong? Who raised Obama to believe that America needs to be radically transformed? Well, we don't know that they were taught conflict resolution. The odds are they might have been but they probably laughed all the way through that class. Can you imagine these guys in a conflict resolution 101 course? 'Now, you are not supposed to resolve differences with violence. You are to find your combatant and talk about it and find wonderful things you have in common.'
According to the Washington Post, the FBI received information from the Russian FSB intelligence security service in 2011 and was told that Tamerlan Tsarnaev, the suspect who was killed, had been involved with radical Islam over the last few years. Tamerlan Tsarnaev's increased radicalism caused him to have a falling out with members of his own family. The FBI conducted an interview with Tamerlan Tsarnaev, as well as his family members and friends, but found no evidence of terrorist activity.
While Rush Limbaugh blames teachers, professors and "liberals" for the radicalization of the Boston bombers, reality is much different. On Monday, the surviving suspect, Dzhokhar Tsarnaevwas charged with murder and using "weapons of mass destruction." MSNBC reported late Monday night that Dzhokhar Tsarnaev was being questioned while still in the hospital, communicating through writing due to a throat injury sustained during the shootout with the police. Tsarnaev has cooperated with officials, noting that he and his brother acted alone in the bombings.
