Trump
senior policy adviser Stephen Miller made the rounds on the Sunday news shows
to assail the federal judges who have ruled against the administration’s
anti-Muslim refugee and travel ban, and expanded Trump’s attack on the
independence of the judiciary.
Miller’s
statements accused the courts of “remaking laws” and seeking “judicial law and
providing a vital check against overreach by another branch of government.
Perhaps
the most interesting moment of Miller’s interviews was the one in which he told
CBS’s John Dickerson:
"The
end result of this, though, is that our opponents, the media, and the whole
world will soon see as we begin to take further actions, that the powers of the
president to protect our country are very substantial and will not be questioned."
He went on
to say, "The Fuehrer's
authority is absolute in all matters of das homeland’s security." His left arm restrained his right arm from
rising in a salute. However, he did
manage to say, “Hail Trump.” After that episode his left arm returned to
rest on his genital area. Even with his
suit jacket covering it one could tell it was extremely well muscled.
