Drones kill innocent civilians and those who are trying to help the wounded and dying. Obviously they are recruitment tools for militant Islamists. Of course the bigger question is why the the United States has any reason to be using drones at all in the Middle East. In fact, why is the U.S. militarily involved there at all? The U.S. is there to militarily aid multinational oil in exploring and making profits, to keep reasonably priced oil available to itself and allies who are dependent on it, and to keep the oil flowing. Oh, I forget the 9,000 pound elephant in the room.......America's 51st state, Israel--or is the U.S. simply a part of that Middle Eastern nation state?

“Why do they hate us?” is the question Americans have been asking for decades now. It is in reference to anyone from another country who commits acts of violence against the United States, or speaks out against American foreign policies, imperialism, culture…. whatever.
George W Bush famously once said, ‘They hate us for who we are, not what we do’. Well here at CODEPINK we strongly disagree. We think that the American public deserves that in fact it IS what we do that makes people hate us, and one of the worst things we do is terrorize people with our killer and spy drones.
Drones have been flying over Iraq and Afghanistan for years, as well as other countries that we’re not even at war with, like Pakistan, Yemen, and Somalia. We’ve even dropped drone bombs on the Philippines!
