SIGN THE PETITION: Tell Congress to Restore Strength to the Voting Rights Act!
Last year’s 5-4 Supreme Court decision in Shelby County v. Holder gutted a vital part of the Voting Rights Act and kicked open the door for a wave of voter suppression laws against the country. But Congress has the authority, and the responsibility, to fix it.
Members of Congress:
Congress can and must act without delay to strengthen the Voting Rights Act in the wake of Shelby County v. Holder. Please do your part and support legislation to make sure the Voting Rights Act continues to be an important and effective tool in protecting the right to vote.
