E-MAIL OBAMA HERE-STOP STALLING ON CLIMATE CHANGE

Action Alert
Clock's Ticking on Climate
Take action now!
Tell President Obama it's time to back up his grand promises with real-world action!
Friend, I'm confused.
When President Obama gave his inaugural address back in January, he said something I completely agreed with – "We will respond to the threat of climate change, knowing that the failure to do so would betray our children and future generations."
But on Tuesday, President Obama visited the New Jersey shore and never once mentioned climate change or its connection to extreme weather like Superstorm Sandy.
And it's been 47 days since the Obama administration missed the legal deadline to finalize the new power plant carbon pollution standard (the very same rule you and 3 million other people supported last year) and we haven't heard a peep from the EPA yet.
President Obama has said that he wants tackling climate change to be his legacy butcould he be all talk, no action like so many other politicians?
Meanwhile, there's more carbon pollution in our atmosphere than ever before in history and we're seeing its effects in extreme weather – devastating droughts, record heat, melting ice caps, more powerful and destructive storms, heavier smog, etc.
We can't afford to wait any longer – this MUST be a top priority. Join us in asking President Obama what's taking so long.
Power plants are the nation's single largest source of climate change-causing carbon pollution. And the EPA is dragging its feet on setting standards to cut industrial carbon pollution.
Unless we dramatically slash the pollution they belch out, we'll only see climate change get worse – with more threats to our health, livelihood and security from extreme weather, smog, and more.
President Obama has spoken eloquently about our obligation to future generations to address climate change. But his words are meaningless until he backs them up with action.
Thank you again for your help.
