THANK PRES. OBAMA FOR STATEMENT ON CLIMATE CHANGE

Dear Friend, This afternoon at Georgetown University, President Obama gave a speech outlining a comprehensive solution for climate change. His message was loud and clear. We can’t wait any longer. As Americans, we must do all we can to lead the global effort to fight climate change; our communities and economy depend on us taking action, and the lives of future generations will be shaped by the choices we make today.  Do you agree with President Obama? In his speech, President Obama laid out the beginning of a comprehensive path to addressing climate change, preparing our communities, and investing in renewable energy and energy efficiency. We’ve already seen what American ingenuity can do when challenged. Thanks to the construction of fuel-efficient vehicles — and the creation of new fuel efficiency standards — America’s automobile industry is back stronger than ever. These standards are not only creating jobs and helping families save money at the pump, they are a major step in showing America’s leadership in the global effort to respond to the threat of climate change.
