SHORT ESSAY ON DRONES OVER AMERICA

One bill now pending in Congress would prohibit the use of surveillance drones on US soil in the absence of a specific search warrant, and has bipartisan support.  Across the country, state legislatures and municipalities are seeking to stop the police in deploying drones for domestic use.
But, the word has not reached the writers of "Major Crimes."  Tonight, as I was on my way to view the recording of "Charlie Rose, " I saw a bit of Major Crimes.  So, these cops, in some municipality, were watching some kind of a screen where a drone was sending pictures to them.  One policeman turns to another older cop and says to him, something along the lines of "Betcha didn't have this kind of stuff when you first joined the force."
Of course these surveillance drones that some police forces are considering using have the ability to fly to your bedroom, hover there and send pictures to some cop pervert who wants to see you copulating with your significant other.
But I guess, in the Brave New World of  future, if these Congressional bills and state and local efforts to stop drones over America, cops  snooping into your sex life won't be a crime, major or otherwise.
