SHORT ESSAY ON HOUSE GOP-IMMORAL OR SOCIOPATHS?

BELOW ARE 2 ARTICLES DETAILING THE HOUSE GOP CUTS IN THE FOOD STAMP PROGRAM AND CUTS TO SNAP EVEN IF THE HOUSE HADN'T PASSED THE BILL.  REPUBLICANS SAY THAT THE FOOD STAMP PROGRAM IF RIFE WITH FAUD AND ABUSE BUT DON'T PROVIDE PROOF.  THEY CAN'T BECAUSE THAT SIMPLY ISN'T TRUE.  THEY ALSO SAY THAT THE PROGRAM HAS GROWN SIGNIFICANTLY IN RECENT YEARS AND WE HAVE TO PUT A STOP TO THAT.  WELL, YES, THE "RECOVERY" HASN'T IMPACTED MILLIONS OF AMERICANS WHO NEED FOOD ASSISTANCE.  REPUBLICANS SAY THAT PEOPLE HAVE BECOME TOO DEPENDENT ON SNAP AND THAT SAPS THEIR SELF-RELIANCE.  RIGHT!  THE 17 MILLION FAMILIES WHO HAVE KIDS DON'T WANT THEIR HUNGRY INFANTS AND TODDLERS TO BECOME TOO DEPENDENT ON BIG BROTHER GOVERNMENT!

I'VE BEEN TRYING TO FIGURE OUT HOW IT IS THAT GOP MEMBERS OF THE HOUSE. WHO WOULD TAKE FOOD OUT OF THE MOUTHS OF HUNGRY CHILDREN, COULD DO THAT.  HERE ARE SOME ALTERNATIVE EXPLANATIONS THAT ARE NOT MUTUALLY EXCLUSIVE:

1)  THEY TAKE MONEY FROM THE KOCH BROTHERS AND OTHER REACTIONARIES WHO WANT TO CUT CORPORATION TAXES AND TAXES ON THE RICH AND SOCK IT TO THE MIDDLE CLASS AND THE POOR.  THEY VOTE TO  DRAMATICALLY CUT BACK ON SNAP AS A FORM OF LOYALTY TO THEIR MASTERS.   IN OTHER WORDS THEY ARE WHORES.

2)  BY NATURE THEY ARE BULLIES.  IT'S EASY TO BEAT UP ON THE HUNGRY POOR WHO ARE DEFENSELESS.  THEY ARE LIKE A 6' 200 LB MAN WHO KICKS THE STUFFING OUT OF A 98 LB 8-YEAR-OLD.   IN OTHER WORDS THEY ARE SADISTIC  ON A PIAGET-KOLHBERG LEVEL OF MORAL DEVELOPMENT THEY ARE NOT EVEN AT STAGE ONE.  MORE ABOUT THAT IN POINT 5.

3)  "THEY KNOW NOT WHAT THEY DO."  IF THEY COULD SEE A CHILD GO HUNGRY BECAUSE OF THEIR LEGISLATION THEY WOULD NOT VOTE THE WAY THEY DO, ONE COULD THEORIZE.  BUT, SINCE INFORMATION ON HUNGER IN AMERICA IS READILY AVAILABLE, THEY ARE WILLFULLY IGNORANT AND/OR PRETEND THEY JUST DON'T SEE THE SUFFERING THEY CAUSE.

4)  THIS POINT IS RELATED TO #1.  THE HOUSE GOP MEMBERS WHO VOTED TO DRASTICALLY CUT SNAP ARE BEHOLDEN TO TEA PARTY MEMBERS WHO WILL "PRIMARY" THEM IF THEY VOTED DIFFERENTLY.  SO, THE ARUGMENT GOES,  THEY MUST REPRESENT THE WISHES OF STUPID (OFTEN VERY FAT) CRETINS WHO WEAR UNCLE SAM HATS.

5)  MOST POLITICIANS ARE NARCISSISTS.  "HEY, LOOK AT ME, SEND ME TO CONGRESS WHERE MY FELLOW NARCISSISTS WILL LOOK AT ME AND THEN I'LL COME HOME ON THE WEEKENDS AND AT RECESS AND YOU CAN LOOK AT ME SOME MORE!"  BUT IT JUST MIGHT ALSO BE THE CASE THAT THESE GOP HOUSE MEMBERS, WHO DON'T CARE IF PEOPLE GO HUNGRY, ARE SOCIAL PSYCHOPATHS.  IN POINTS 1-4 THE WORST I'VE SUGGESTED IS THAT THEY WHORE FOR THE KOCH BROTHERS/TEA PARTY.  BUT EVEN A WHORE (CERTAINLY NOT TO INSULT SEX WORKERS BY MENTIONING THEM IN THE SAME SENTENCE AS REPUBLICAN HOUSE MEMBERS)  CAN FEEL SHAME AND GUILT.  SOCIOPATHS HAVE NO CONSCIENCE.  IN THE GOP HOUSE WE CAN SEE CHARLES MANSON WRIT LARGE.

(Hey, if you're going to use my ideas, as some of you have, please give credit to my blog!)

WASHINGTON — House Republicans narrowly pushed through a bill on Thursday that slashes billions of dollars from the food stamp program, over the objections of Democrats and a veto threat from President Obama.

The bill passed narrowly despite efforts by the House minority leader, Nancy Pelosi, who spoke at a news conference on Thursday.

The vote set up what promised to be a major clash with the Senate and dashed hopes for passage this year of a new five-year farm bill.
The vote was 217 to 210, largely along party lines.
Republican leaders, under pressure from Tea Party-backed conservatives, said the bill was needed because the food stamp program, which costs nearly $80 billion a year, had grown out of control. They said the program had expanded even as jobless rates had declined with the easing recession.

SNAP Benefits Will Be Cut for All Participants in November 2013

Revised August 2, 2013
The 2009 Recovery Act’s temporary boost to Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits is scheduled to end on November 1, 2013, resulting in a benefit cut for every SNAP household.  For families of three, the cut will be $29 a month — a total of $319 for November 2013 through September 2014, the remaining months of fiscal year 2014.[2]   That’s a serious loss, especially in light of the very low amount of basic SNAP benefits.  Without the Recovery Act’s boost, SNAP benefits will average less than $1.40 per person per meal in 2014.  (See Table 2 for estimates of the size of the SNAP cut in each state in fiscal year 2014.)  Nationally, the total cut is estimated to be $5 billion in fiscal year 2014.
It seems unlikely that Congress will enact legislation to remedy this problem, as President Obama and some members of Congress have proposed.  Consequently, states need to prepare for the benefit cuts — including determining how they will provide information about the upcoming benefit reduction to participating households and other stakeholders as well as how to manage increased client inquiries when the cut takes effect.
