FAMOUS MAN ARRESTED FOR TRYING TO FEED POOR

November 30, 2013

Pasadena CA--A series of people in the U.S. have faced arrest for feeding the homeless in public spaces.  Yesterday, an activist appeared  to feed the hungry in Central Park in California's Rose Bowl City.  The Director of Health Services for the city said, before his appearance, that Pasadena police would enforce the city's ordinance against feeding the poor in public parks.

At 12:00 noon the man appeared at the North end of the park where clusters of the homeless regularly gather.  In his hands  were five small barley loaves and two small fish which he evidently was  going to use to feed the homeless.  He  directed the people to sit down on the grass.  Then, as he looked up to the skies to apparently gave thanks for the food, he was handcuffed and led away by uniformed police.

After he was removed from the park a Pasadena police officer who remained there to maintain order reportedly stated, "Oh my God, what have we done!"
