ACT HERE TO PASS EMPLOYMENT NON-DISCRIMINATION ACT

Dear MoveOn member,
I'm Bradley Delaney, a MoveOn member in Seattle, Washington, and I started a petition to Senate Republicans, which says:
Put a stop to employment discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender identity. Pass the Employment Non-Discrimination Act!
Here in Washington, we have laws that protect lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people from workplace discrimination. But in 29 other states, people are fired every day simply because of how they identify or who they love.
The Employment Non-Discrimination Act has been proposed in Congress every year since 2007, but for seven years now, our senators and representatives have failed to act. It's time to put an end to workplace discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity.
Currently, there is a bill in both houses of Congress, and it's already out of committee and ready for a vote in the Senate as early as Monday.
That's where you come in! Not every bill actually makes it to the Senate floor for a vote, but with your help, we can demand that this bill gets a vote. It already has the support of every Senate Democrat, now we need Senate Republicans to step up. Please stand with me and millions of LGBT Americans in asking Congress to pass S. 815, the Employment Non-Discrimination Act, today.
Thanks!
–Bradley Delaney
