Conservative Definition of Patriotism

PATRIOTISM, n.  Love of the nation state.  Also, the elevation of martial virtues in a country to allow young men to prove their valor in unnecessary wars and thereby achieve heroic status by dying, being maimed, coming and/or  returning to The  Homeland with PTSD,

 Many veterans are able to further prove their courage by dealing with the visitudes of homelessness,drug addiction,  and dealing with the incompetent Veteran’s Administration.  Some cynics wrongly accuse politicians using love of country as political cover for the selfish interests of the ruling oligarchy using young men and women as cannon fodder in wars for oil and mineral resources.
