It’s not even Thanksgiving and almost a year until the next election and Super PACs and special interest groups are already airing ads all over the country. And as we inch closer to election day, they’re going to get worse and worse.
Citizens United is threatening to reduce our elections to a game of “who has the biggest wallet.” We saw it in 2012 with more than $40 million against us. What’s next? $80 million?
Our campaign finance system can’t take another hit -- and with the McCutcheon case looming, ready to strike another blow to our campaign finance safeguards, we all need to take action.
I’m teaming up with some of my colleagues to build up our grassroots movement. We need you to join us. Tell Congress to take immediate action to reverse the effects of Citizens United. Sign our petition today.
