RECENT TEA PARTY ACTIONS-THEY ARE NEANDERTHALS

I don't defend Democrats too often, but here is some perspective:

The Tea Party-led House of Representatives shut down the government, threatened the global economy with debt default, refused to take up the Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA) even after the Senate passed it and, shockingly, almost stopped reauthorization of the Violence Against Women Act.
As bad as it’s been, imagine how much worse -- and I mean devastatingly worse -- it would have been if not for the Democratic majority in the U.S. Senate.
