THOUGHTS ON U.S.' MOST BELOVED WAR CRIMINALS

Bill Hessell shared your blog post on Google+
Much of the world has known for some time that our foreign policy and military activities overseas often play loosely with international law and accepted diplomatic standards, but we in the US have been slow to accept the fact and hold our leaders accountable.  As this article states, Kissinger is a prime example of a man honored here who is widely considered a war criminal in some other nations, even in nations often allied with us.  Since the start of this century, our violation of international standards has become common knowledge, with the Internet spreading the word rapidly when the major media ignore the issue.  Whether it is assassinations, contrived wars, illegal surveillance, political sabotage, use of drones which violate sovereignty, the word will get out.  America's positive world image has been severely tarnished, as has our role as the accepted leader of the free world.  The books written proclaiming a "post-American world" are becoming true more rapidly than one might have expected.
