AP--

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) said he is now taking steps to officially renounce his Canadian citizenship. The candidate for the Republican Party nomination for the Presidency in 2016 was born in Calgary, Alberta to an American mother. One is ineligible to run for president in the U.S. if not is not a natural born citizen.
However, being born to an American mother means that he is a "duel citizen," of both Canada and the U.S.
In an interview with the Dallas Morning News published Saturday, the freshman senator said he hoped to complete the legal procedure in 2014.
Curz, who was at the top of his class at Harvard Law, a practicing attorney before he entered politics, and is considered to be one of the brightest men in the U.S. Senate claimed today that he didn't know that he had dual citizenship until Last Monday when an article in the Washington Post pointed it out.
Cruz also claimed that his decision to renounce his Canadian citizenship had nothing to do with presidential ambitions.
Said Harvard Law Professor, Norman Silvey, "Ted had me for 3 classes in law school. He was one of the most brilliant men I've ever taught. However, I must say he's always been severely estranged from truth and honesty."

The story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
