Justice for Palestine
Palestine is in crisis. The situation in Israel and Palestine is not an intractable conflict between two equal sides. It is an Occupation by a powerful military state, armed and supported by the West, against an impoverished, stateless and displaced people.
Israel's latest military attack on Gaza is only made possible through the continued financial, military and diplomatic support Israel receives from Western states. War on Want supports the global campaign of Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions against Israel, and is campaigning for a two way arms embargo on Israel.

Israel’s military onslaught marks the latest stage of a policy of collective punishment and killing practised by Israel against the people of Gaza. Israel's siege of Gaza has condemned its 1.7 million inhabitants to a humanitarian disaster with no end in sight. In the West Bank, the expansion of Israeli settlements, the continued construction of the Apartheid Wall, the military closure of the Jordan Valley and the annexation of East Jerusalem are creating an irreversible reality of permanent Occupation. And a third generation of Palestinian children are growing up in refugee camps inside and outside Palestine.
All the above actions are illegal under international law, but the British government has failed to call Israel to account for its crimes. It is up to ordinary people around the world to take action. War on Want supports the call from Palestinian civil society to build a global movement of boycott, divestment and sanctions against Israel until it complies with international law and meets the following demands: an end to the Occupation; the right of return for Palestinian refugees; and equal rights for Palestinian citizens of Israel itself.
