E-BAY ALLOWS DEATH THREAT. DOES NOTHING ABOUT IT.

The L.A. Business Journal of March 24-30,  2003  under "L.A. Stories" documents that in response to my posting on eBAY one of my buttons showing Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld and Homeland Security Chief, Tom Ridge, with duct tape over their mouths under the slogan "True Homeland Security," I received a death threat laced with from an e-BAY account holder  e-Bay knew who he was - - his name, address, etc.  e-Bay did turn his name over to law enforcement authorities, nor did they suspend his account.

E-BAY would not give me the person's name or address.  I could not pursue the matter because, as my attorney said to me, ". . .they are a monster corporation and they'll clean out your bank account.  If you win in a lower court they'll appeal it to a higher one and you'll pay absolutely huge attorney fees."

e-BAY spokesman, Kevin Pursglove, said the company was not responsible for any messages sent over e-Bay according to an interview with him in the L.A. Business Journal of the date cited above.
