Dear Keith,

How much would you pay to save the life of a child? Ten dollars? Five? In Oklahoma, legislators tried to enact a tax that would only cost corporations $1.25 per $1,000 invested in the state so that elementary school kids could have protection from tornados. And Republican leaders are trying to scrap the plan because it's too expensive for big companies.

The need for shelters in schools isn't an idle fear. In 2013, seven children died when tornados ripped through their towns. A shelter, funded by corporate tax revenues, could have saved them.

But GOP leaders in the state are apparently too busy bending over backward to accommodate corporations to care about the families they're putting in danger with their greed.

Tell Governor Fallin to stop putting kids' lives on the line to make corporations happy!
