"STUPID" MAY NOT GOOD TERM FOR U.S. LET'S LOOK WHY

Bill Hessell shared your blog post on Google+ One might readily doubt that the American people deserve to considered "stupid", but a number of factors call into question the intelligence and wisdom of many of their collective judgments and actions. Their educational system is all too often failing them, the media is often falling short in responsibly covering the prime issues of the day, and is instead diverting attention to trivia and to distraction. Even when concerned about the central issues of the day, getting the true facts is difficult, the truth often being well hidden or obscured. Some major news outlets have discovered that if lies or speculations are repeated often enough they will eventually be accepted as the truth by a sizable percentage of the population. Other caring, intelligent citizens are just kept to busy working to keep their families afloat to consistently get reliable, factual information about key issues. With such circumstances, together with the decline in our public education system, it is not surprising that our nation's application of its apparent intelligence may be suspect and seem to be slipping.
